Hard work and persistence always make sense but if you want to reach a worthwhile goal pay attention to #3. Common sense is the piece of the puzzle that makes sure your time and energy are used well.
Common sense sets you on course and keeps you on track. It helps you reflect on your choices and decisions in any moment and determine if they’re still the right ones. It knows when to keep at it, and it’ll tell you when to change direction. Hard work and persistence need the guidance of common sense and when you really listen to your common sense instincts not only will you achieve uncommon success, but you’ll likely enjoy the ride.

Energy Now Tip #54: Do it or Dump it. Energy drains when the to-do list remains un-done. Be merciless with your list. Get it done or scratch it off the list. If you’ve been procrastinating this long it can’t be that important anyways, and if it is important don’t you think you’d feel a lot better if you just sucked it up and completed the darn thing? Just sayin’
