“Nobody trips over mountains. It is the small pebble that causes you to stumble. Pass all the pebbles in your path and you will find you have crossed the mountain.”

Small steps…

I’ve been saying it all along. It’s normal to get overwhelmed when the entire, gargantuan goal is rising up in front of you. That big mountain will take time and energy to climb and you’re wondering if you have what it takes right?

So how about you just step over the first pebble and plan the next step after that? It’s not important that you have the path figured out before you start. What’s important is that you start.

What personal or professional mountain do you long to climb – perhaps with your health, relationships, finances, career? And what small steps can you take this week that will get you a little closer to your goal? Trust that you have what it takes, quit thinking so much and step into action already!

Energy Now Tip #69: Okay, I know it’s less fun, but every now and then when you’re out for cocktails ask yourself “Do I really want this?” At some social functions choose sparkling soda instead. Make your water more interesting by adding a squeeze of lemon or lime. (Chapter 7 – Hydration: Water You Drinking?, pg. 138 Energy Now!)
