“Celebrate what you’ve accomplished, but raise the bar a little higher each time you succeed.”

~ Mia Hamm

I’m sure you’d agree that it’s important to celebrate accomplishments; to honour the hard work you’ve done, and to enjoy the feeling of checking that goal off your list. This week I’m celebrating the release of The Success-Energy Equation. I’m very proud of this book, and very grateful to those of you who helped it debut as an Amazon #1 bestseller through your pre-orders. Crazy!

The video below is from 8 years ago, just before I released my first book. I learned so much between books, and while they’re both good books, this new one is …better. Which is why I’m sharing the video, to remind me just how much that accomplishment helped me raise the bar to reach this one.

Watch it for a chuckle, and to see all that’s changed for me. And read below for a few other tidbits I share about this tale of two books.

On October 27th, 2020 my new book, ‘The Success-Energy Equation: How to Regain Focus, Recharge Your Life, and Really Get Sh!t Done’ debuted as a #1 Bestseller on Amazon! If you pre-ordered a copy you were part of making that happen. THANK YOU It’s been a crazy, busy week of podcasts, social media interactions, and behind the scenes ‘getting sh!t done’, so I had no time to shoot a video. Instead I’m throwing back to December 2011 with this gem, and I chose it for a reason.

In January of 2012 I released my first book, Energy Now! Small Steps to an Energetic Life, to very little fan-fare, and not too many book sales… not those first days any way. That’s also when my husband began shooting video, so he practiced a lot on me. We created this video just before that book’s release, and watching it makes me laugh and cringe all at the same time. Not because of the video production. My husband was great with video right from the start, and wow is he sharp now 😉

In these early videos I showed up VERY differently (dare I say…less energetically). I hadn’t yet found my voice or the confidence I now have in front of the camera, but you can’t get better if you don’t start. I’m pretty damn grateful my professional photographer husband decided it was time to add video to his offerings, and we both learned so much in those early video shoots. But, like I said, much has changed. Video quality is so much better these days, even videos I shoot from my phone. Our beloved Lilly-dog has crossed the rainbow bridge. She made cameos in many of my videos, sometimes stealing the show. We’re in a different house, I have new glasses (thank GAWD), and my teeth have since been blessed by Invisalign (also thank GAWD)… AND of course, I’ve released another book!

I will say with all honestly, that it was no easier to write the second book just because I’d already done one before. Sure, I knew what to expect regarding writer’s fatigue and lack of motivation, the stages of the book process I’d be have to go through, and the fabulous break throughs when I had them. The Success-Energy Equation was harder because I wanted it to be better. It was harder because it encompasses 15 years of messages I’ve shared in my speeches, conversations I’ve had with my coaching clients, and tips from the videos I’ve been creating since 2011. I needed to make sense of all of that so I could share in a meaningful way my beliefs and philosophies around how to live a healthier, happier, more successful life. I think I accomplished that, and I hope if you read the book you’ll agree.

The Energy Chronicles indeed. It’s definitely been a tale of two books, both about energy, both fun reads, with no doubt, the first informing the next. I think I’ll celebrate awhile before I contemplate my next book.

If you’re interested, you can find both books on my website or on Amazon.  Until next time, I’m Michelle Cederberg reminding you we only get one chance to do this life, I say Dare to Live it Big, and dare ti raise the bar a little higher with every goal you hit.

It may be awhile until we call all gather safely in large groups, but that doesn’t mean your team doesn’t still need training, education and even inspiration.
