“I have two doctors, my left leg and my right.”

~ G.M. Trevelyan

Is there anything better for your heart and soul than an energizing walk outdoors? I don’t think so. And this time of year it’s a great way to kick start your fitness program, especially after a long winter.

Walking not only boosts your physical health by improving your cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength, but it boosts your mental health by allowing you time to clear your head of clutter and boost your creative thoughts.  And it’s very user-friendly. No skill is required and you can start at your own pace. If it’s more than what you normally do, it counts as real exercise!

You know you should be exercising more, so don’t over think it. Fitness doesn’t need to be fancy to be effective.  Just put on your sneakers and go for a simple, satisfying stroll. Say that six times fast…and for more walking motivation be sure to watch this week’s re-broadcast of one of my very first Energy TV segments.
