“Aim for the sky, but move slowly, enjoying every step along the way. It is all those little steps that make the journey complete.”
~ Chandra Cochhar
Small steps are soooooo powerful. Especially if you’re staring down a big, slightly overwhelming goal and you feel stuck. You don’t have to let that fear halt your progress. Instead, take one small step. And then another. Each step will give you confidence and help you know what to do next. Little steps, surefire success. #YeahYouCan
Here’s segment #2 from an interview I did with my friends at Mtek Digital. Watch the 1 minute video below to hear my go-to power tip. Or, read the transcript that follows.
One of the power tips that I never avoid sharing with people is that small steps count. Most people that are success oriented (most of us are) will think, “Go big or go home. If I’m going to do this, I’m going to do this the way I know that I should, the way that I’ve done in the past, the way everybody says that I should.”
But then lack of time and energy get in the way and we think to ourselves, “Jeez, I don’t have the time and energy right now … so I’ll wait.” But I believe that small steps can be great steps because consistency over time will get you a lot further than a gigantic leap every two or three weeks when the time and energy suddenly becomes available.
We need to get over go big and trust that small, consistent steps will win the race every time.
