Some days it’s okay to do not much, especially now as we head into summer, and ready ourselves for a world free of pandemic restrictions.

It’s been a long winter, and if you’re feeling the fatigue like I am, maybe you need to factor rest and recovery into your work plans? In the video below I share a simple reminder to listen to your body and make sure you’re giving yourself time in your busy schedule for a bit of rest and relaxation! Don’t over think it, just pause through out the day and find a bit of calm in the chaos.

Hey Michelle Cederberg here out for a morning walk with my dog Islay, contemplating rest and recovery. I don’t know about you but I’ve been feeling tired lately. I’m pushing past that languishing I’ve been talking so much about, but I’m also realizing that so many months into this pandemic, I haven’t taken any real holiday and I’ve been tending to push my work hours a little bit longer than I normally would.

If you’re in the same boat as me I would challenge you during the week to be ever present of your work schedule. Make sure you’re taking your breaks, and that you’re ending your work schedule at a reasonable time, particularly if you’re working from home where the lines between work and home might be blurred a little bit right now. And on the weekends, do your best to leave work behind and take some good restorative time with your friends and family. We need it now more than ever. And I will say, particularly because we’re coming to the end of this. The world is going to open up, and we’re going to need energy, focus, and a renewed passion perhaps, for the work that we’re doing. So as you’re heading through the rest of this week, pay attention to your rest and recovery. Listen to your body. It knows what it needs.
